Office space and document storage provider, The Maltings, has expanded its sales team with a new appointment as it looks to continue to grow its business.
The Cardiff-based business has appointed Chris James, 36, as sales manager for its records management and document storage service.
Mr James brings with him a wealth of experience having worked within sales roles across a variety of sectors in South Wales for over a decade. During this time, he was responsible for meeting sales targets and developing new customer relationships.
At The Maltings, Mr James will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships and continuing the growth of the company. His appointment comes following The Maltings securing its 500th client for its records management and document storage service earlier this year.
Chris James said: “I’m thrilled to be joining The Maltings team. Having worked across a variety of sectors all within sales roles, I have a lot of experience and knowledge of different industries. I’m sure this will help in my new role, particularly because The Maltings has such a diverse client base, for both its document storage services and its rented office space.
“With the recent announcement that The Maltings has secured Ian Williams as its 500th records management client, it is an exciting time to join such a thriving company.
“I was very attracted to the ethics of The Maltings team. The company has a great staff retention rate and this longevity of staff is a clear sign that it’s a great company to work for. I’m excited to grow and develop with the company.”
Kathy Fox, managing director of The Maltings Limited, said: “Chris has a considerable experience in sales and will be a valuable asset to our team. Whilst the business has grown organically due to its good reputation we understand the importance of having a strong sales team.
“We were particularly interested in Chris as he has worked within a range of sectors, including recruitment and construction, and this knowledge will be helpful in his new role, as we work with clients in such a range of sectors. He has already hit the ground running as sales manager and we’re looking forward to working with him to continue to grow The Maltings.”
The Maltings Limited is a Grade II listed Victorian Malt House in the heart of Cardiff which has been established for thirty years as a centre for records management and storage, as well as a provider of self-managed and serviced rented office space.
It has begun a refurbishment programme which has seen the company invest £3m in developing vacant storage space into state-of-the-art serviced and self-managed offices and improved facilities for existing and new clients. To date, the company has introduced a café, a fully equipped on-site modern gym, meeting rooms, conference and video conferencing facilities, communal kitchen areas, shower rooms and break-out seating areas.
