Innes England has been retained as joint retail agent for the Oasis Retail Park, Willow Place and Corby Town Shopping Centre in Northamptonshire following its recent acquisition by Sovereign Land and Europa Capital.
Innes England, which has offices in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, will continue to work as joint agents with Savills to promote the entire scheme which comprises more than 700,000 sq ft.
Innes England was originally appointed by the scheme’s previous owners Helical Bar plc in June 2014, and has already increased annual income by more than £150,000 and introduced six new retail names to the town.
Innes England will also be advising on an area of the scheme which is set for development, strategically identifying target retailers and asset management solutions to maximize the asset’s potential.
Paul Watson, director at Innes England in Leicester, said: “Since being appointed by the scheme’s previous owners last summer, we have taken significant strides towards improving the retail offering in Corby and are very pleased to be able to continue that work.
Corby is a growing town. More than 160,000 shoppers visit Corby Town Centre each week and this is set to improve as we continue to enhance the already strong retail presence in the town.”
Ben Taylor is head of retail agency at the firm and works with Paul Watson on this scheme. He said: “Corby is a vibrant town centre, with a great mix of retailers including H&M, Primark and TK Maxx and we are excited to have been instructed by Sovereign Land to continue to market the retail offering here.”
“We have already signed up a number of new brands and have been working closely with the local independent retailers as well as other new names to further enrich what the town has to offer.”
Innes England has extensive experience in the retail and leisure sectors across the East Midlands, boasting clients such as Aviva Investors, M&M Asset Management, Pendragon PLC and Co-operative Group. The firm also acts for retailers including Greggs, Costa Coffee franchisees and Multiyork across the region and nationally.
Innes England has recently been named as the ‘Most Active Agent’ in the East Midlands for the eighth year in a row in the Estates Gazette Interactive 2014 deals competition after completing more than two deals per working day during the year.
