Swansea Bay Business Club is encouraging members to get on their bikes to raise money for a cancer charity this summer.
Members are being sought to sign-up for the club’s cycling team that is entering the Paris to Swansea bike ride in July, in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, the chosen charity of Swansea Bay Business Club’s President, Bruce Roberts.
The business club has 6 spaces still available for its team with 4 already signed up, and local business people are now being urged to wheel themselves into action.
As part of the 2015 calendar of activity, the business club is hoping to raise £20,000 for Macmillan, which was chosen as the club’s charity of the year by its president and secretary, Bruce Roberts.
Mr. Roberts, said: “On behalf of Swansea Bay Business Club I would like to ask all members (and non-members) to consider getting on their bikes to help raise money for this incredibly worthy cause.”
“Most people will be affected directly or indirectly by cancer at some point and this is a great chance for our members to help make a real difference to the lives of people who are affected by the disease.”
Sunny Bamra Events Director comments: “People who want to take part don’t have to be a professional or even regular cyclist. We are just looking for riders of all abilities who want to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and raise awareness of the wonderful service that is provided locally.”
