Derbyshire-based commercial property developers Sladen Estates have appointed a new architectural and technical designer to their expanding team.
Ashley Metcalfe joins the business with over 20 years of experience in architectural practices across a wide variety of sectors from domestic to commercial and education to industrial.
Initially, Ashley’s main focus at Sladen Estates will be working on projects including Park Sixty Six at Bury – a business, leisure and retail development – and The Village Phase 111, an office development just off junction 28 of the M1.
Speaking of his appointment, Ashley said he was delighted to be joining such a thriving company and was looking forward to the challenges his new job would bring.
He said: “I’m really excited to get stuck in to some of the projects which Sladen Estates are currently working on, but also looking forward to analysing new potential sites for development.
Chief executive at Sladen Estates Nick Sladen said Ashley was a very valuable addition to his growing team.
He said: “Ashley has a vast array of experience across the architectural sector, working at CPMG architects in Nottingham for a large chunk of his career, as well as at Burks Green in Newark on Trent and Tienda Ltd in Grantham.
“At CPMG Ashley worked on multi-million pound projects such as De Monfort University’s business and law building, Leicester Science Park and new sixth form buildings at a Coventry secondary school.
“His skill set is extensive and will certainly be a very valuable addition to the current team at Sladen Estates.”
