Birmingham-based Bell Plumbing Supplies is looking to tap into the Redditch market.
It has taken the plunge with a 2,397 sq ft unit at Dunlop Road, Hunt End Industrial Estate, on a five year lease with the help of property agents John Truslove.
The move, which will create a number of new jobs, will see the company’s workforce rise to around 40.
It is Bell Plumbing Supplies’ sixth depot following Kings Norton and Aston in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge and Brownhills.
The eight-year-old firm specialises in plumbing, heating, bathrooms, drainage and kitchens. It will be supplying a trade counter service to the local Redditch community.
Managing director Spencer Bell said: “Redditch has more than 80,000 residents and continues to grow fast.
“This was a natural progression for us, part of an ongoing expansion. We are always looking. If we spot an opportunity we go for it.”
Ben Truslove, a director of John Truslove, said: “I am sure the Bell Plumbing chain will plug a gap in Redditch.
“16 Dunlop Road is a prominent unit in a predominantly residential area, enjoying easy access to the motorway network. They have picked a great position to set their stall out.”
