National commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has acquired a major state-of-the art office building on Solihull’s Blythe Valley business park on behalf of construction and development services group Kier.
The 23,000 sq ft office building with on-site car parking has been acquired for Kier’s commercial property arm, Kier Property, for occupation by Kier Moss and the group’s social housing division, Kier Partnership Homes. The group is relocating its Midlands headquarters from Birmingham, bringing more than 150 jobs onto the 257-acre business park. The deal was led by the Birmingham office of LSH.
The two subsidiaries will occupy the strikingly-designed two-storey Tungsten office building which boasts some of the highest specification office space in the region. Employees moving in are relocating from offices in Maypole, Birmingham.
Alastair McChesney, Director in LSH’s Birmingham-based Office Agency team said, “Blythe Valley offers excellent Grade A office space which will provide superb accommodation close to the M42 for the Kier teams.”
Blythe Valley business park will eventually provide more than two million sq ft of high quality office space, set in a countryside park. The facilities on the park include a gym and nursery as well as on-site park management and 24-hour security. The business park is jointly owned by Liberty Property Trust and Doughty Hanson Real Estate.
