DTZ has hired 10 directors nationally over the past 12 months and added Mechanical and Electrical Services, Workplace and Rights of Light service lines to its Project and Building Consultancy team.
Ian Thomas, Managing Director for DTZ in the UK & Ireland and Head of Project and Building Consultancy, says: “We are continuing to expand our core business and service lines and are now able to provide a wider Project and Building Consultancy offer across the UK. We will be making further appointments to complement our expanding team in the coming months.”
Mechanical and Electrical Services
The firm has hired two Directors to set up its newly established Mechanical and Electrical Services team. Tony Comber joins DTZ from Huntley Palmer Flat and Derek Lawrence joins DTZ from Arup. The pair are working to set up teams based in London and Birmingham and there are now five engineers in the team.
New Workplace Strategy service line
DTZ recently hired Director Susan Lorencin and Lucy Cobb as Senior Surveyor both from CBRE to establish a Workplace team within the firm’s Project and Building Consultancy skill line. Susanne and Lucy join from CBRE’s London office where they spent seven and six years respectively within CBRE’s Workplace Strategy team. Based in the London Old Broad Street office, they form DTZ’s own Workplace Strategy service line. The pair are working across all DTZ service lines to offer Workplace Strategy advice to clients across the UK, with scope to expand the service for clients operating internationally.
New Rights of Light service line
Stephen Mealings has been hired by DTZ to form a new Rights of Light service line based in its Birmingham office. Stephen joins from his own business and was formerly with Schatunowski Brookes. Acting on behalf of either developers or adjoining owners/occupiers the team assess a scheme and offer strategic advice on managing potential Right to Light issues.
Reinforced Quantity Surveying
DTZ has hired two Directors to reinforce its QS service line. Jon Thorn joins from Turner and Townsend and Thomas Moore joins from Summers-Inman.
Added to Project Management
The firm has rehired Director Norman Hale who was at JLL to strengthen its Project Management team in London
Paul Roberts has been hired from Colliers to join DTZ as a Due Diligence Director in the firm’s London office.
Jo Williams joined from Ridge and Partners to DTZ’s Bristol office.
Steven Clarke has been rehired as a Director in its Leeds office. Steve joins from a niche firm Edward Finch and was previously a Director at DTZ.
