Leaders from the emerging low carbon business sector will be visiting the Nottingham operation of Wastecycle, one of the UK’s leading resource management and recycling companies for an event taking place this week organised by CleanTech.
Delegates will have a tour of the company’s facilities at Colwick and will hear from Wastecycle’s commercial director, Paul Clements about the latest developments in waste treatment technologies, the changing scape of the recycling sector and the commercial benefits to waste producers.
Paul said: “As a company we are dedicated to increasing positive environmental activity in the Midlands region and beyond and we are delighted to be able to share our work and mission with like-minded business people. We are looking forward to welcoming guests to our Colwick facility.”
Wastecycle works with waste producers to improve resource efficiency and reduce operating costs by increasing recycling and decreasing carbon emissions. Through continued investment in new recycling and recovery technologies, the company has increased the amount of waste recycled in the region whilst developing sustainable markets for secondary materials.
Last year, Wastecycle processed 450,000 tonnes of waste. The company does not own or operate a landfill facility. To date it has successfully located and secured sustainable markets for over 200,000 tonnes of recycled products.
