A commercial property consultancy in the South has expanded its property management team with two new appointments.
Ed Martin, management surveyor, and Sara Williams, property manager, join Hughes Ellard in Hampshire, bringing staff numbers to a record 22.
The positions have been created on the back of continued growth at the independent, which has offices in Southampton and Fareham.
New work includes instructions to manage Gateway House in Chandler’s Ford, near Southampton, comprising 50,000 sq ft over four floors. Professional services firm KPMG, the inaugural occupier, moves in this summer, having taken a 10-year lease on 12,400 sq ft on the third floor.
Hughes Ellard is also managing Enterprise House at Ocean Village, Southampton, which comprises a 25,000 sq ft five-storey office building.
Ed, from near Salisbury, has 27 years of commercial property management experience, the last 14 years of which have been based in Southampton. He will be working for private investors of offices, retail, warehouses and industrial estates in the region.
Sara, from Southampton, has nine years commercial property experience, of which the last three years have been in property management. She is studying a foundation degree in surveying practice through the Reading-based College of Estate Management.
Tim Poynting, director – property asset management, said of the appointments: “Ed and Sara have been brought in because of their expertise and approach to property management, ensuring we continue to deliver a market-leading service to clients with commercial properties across the South Coast. A number of clients have followed them across.
“We pride ourselves on our service levels and proactive approach to property management and have seen our management instructions increase three-fold in the last five years.
“With the addition of Ed and Sara, we have ensured we have the right professionals in place to continue our expansion on the back of instructions from property investors and we have a strong pipeline of work as the economy continues to strengthen.”
Tim added: “Under our property management service, clients across Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex have been awarding us work due to our locally based, responsive surveyors, who have a good understanding of the region and properties.”
Further members of the team are Graham Nash, facilities manager, secretary Mary Pearson and accountants Laura Withers and Christine Bennett.
Other recent appointments at Hughes Ellard include George Wise, a property negotiator who previously worked in London, and Mark Patel, head of building consultancy.
