The commercial property department of award winning Midlands law firm FBC Manby Bowdler has strengthened its team with three new appointments.
Alison Price has joined the firm’s Wolverhampton office, Charlotte Nutting will work in Shrewsbury and Ian Bowker will be based at its office in central Telford.
Charlotte, a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University and the College of Law in Chester, has experience working in-house for an international bank and at a niche corporate firm and can provide advice for a range of clients from people embarking on their first business venture to established corporate clients, property developers, banks and finance providers.
She specialises in all aspects of commercial property including freehold acquisitions and disposals, asset sales and purchases of businesses, leases acting for both landlords and tenants, acquisitions of property by SIPP’s, acting for lenders on secured property lending and assisting in relation to property elements of corporate transactions.
Ian, a law and politics graduate from the University of Hull, spent many years working for a large international law firm in commercial property and development work before returning to the county and qualifying as a solicitor in 2011.
He brings a wealth of experience to FBC Manby Bowdler from his work on behalf of a national telecommunications provider, and many of the top 20 homebuilders in the UK.
Ian’s focus includes drafting commercial leases including bespoke telecoms’ site agreements, various deeds and other contracts, development agreements including option agreements and pre-emption agreements. Ian is also experienced in dealing with s106 agreements and building plot creation and sales.
Alison previously worked in Birmingham where she acted for a number of national high street retailers and international logistics providers. She has also worked with a Staffordshire law firm and within a local authority, where she was responsible for providing detailed guidance and advice, helping to manage the extensive property portfolio.
Acting for investment companies, small and medium enterprises, family businesses and trusts, Alison has broad experience of freehold and leasehold acquisitions as well as dealing with the property aspects of corporate share and asset sales and purchases.
Notable transactions she has worked on include assisting with the largest application for Homes and Communities Agency funding outside of London to kick start a mixed use development, disposal and leaseback of a large industrial site for a European manufacturer and providing property support in the multi-million pound acquisition of a pharmacy business.
