The Manchester office of CBRE has expanded its Industrial Agency team with the appointment of Andrew Farrar as Associate Director. Andrew joins from LSH.
Paul Cook was recently promoted to head of CBRE’s North West Industrial Agency business which includes team members Steve Capper and Darren Hill. The team is currently instructed on over 500 acres of development land and 8 million sq ft of existing stock, working for an extensive client list including; Barclays, DB Symmetry, IDI Gazeley, Manchester Airport Group, Stoford, Argent and Threadneedle to name a few.
The team was instrumental in the completion of several significant deals in 2014 including the sale on behalf of CBRE Global Investors of the 174,198 sq ft manufacturing facility at Huyton Business Park near Liverpool to Barwood (now DB Symmetry) who intend to speculatively to redevelop the site with a state-of-the-art 204,000 sq ft warehouse facility. CBRE also successfully negotiated a leasehold deal on the 185,000 sq ft at Unit 33 Midpoint 18 under extremely tight time constraints, within 6 weeks of initial instruction. 2015 is already set to be a strong year for the team.
Paul Cook, Director at CBRE Manchester, said; “The North West industrial market is rapidly picking up pace and we have several high profile instructions on both existing stock and opportunity sites on which we are handling high levels of interest as occupier confidence continues to grow. We are delighted to be further strengthening the team with Andrew’s appointment and look forward to a busy year ahead.”
Andrew continues; “It is an exciting time within the sector at present and my new position within the CBRE team will enable me to work with a range of prestigious clients as the team enters a new phase of growth.”
