Colliers International has expanded its valuations capabilities in Birmingham with the appointment of a new Associate Director and the relocation of two specialist valuation experts to the West Midlands office.
Ben Brown joins Colliers International from GVA as an Associate Director within the Hotels team and will service clients throughout the UK from Colliers’ Birmingham office. Ben brings with him in depth knowledge of this specialist area and a broad understanding of the sector having previously worked in both hotel valuation and hotel agency roles.
Ben’s appointment coincides with three other specialist valuation experts joining the Birmingham team from Colliers’ offices across the UK.
Heather Bates joins from Colliers’ London office and brings a speciality in the valuation of the Licensed and Leisure properties to the office. Acting on behalf of landlords, tenants and financial institutions, Heather principally concentrates on professional instructions including valuations, rent reviews, and development appraisals of leisure assets such as public houses, restaurants, bowling alleys, casinos and bingo clubs.
Relocating from Colliers’ Leeds office, John Rushby also brings his own specialism in valuations advice. As Head of the Parks, Sports and Marinas team, John has particular experience of valuing golf courses, marinas, visitor attractions, sports stadia and caravan and holiday accommodation. John provides asset valuations, deal origination and consulting and brokerage to clients across the UK from the Birmingham office.
The three join Vikki Thomas at the Birmingham office, who provides valuation advice and appraisals to all care sectors, as part of Colliers Internationals’ dedicated Healthcare team, which is one of the largest in the UK. The Healthcare team works with leading care providers, public sector bodies, charities and specialist healthcare investment funds across the UK.
On the growth of the team, David Smeeton, Head of Colliers International’s Birmingham office said: “At Colliers, we pride ourselves on having true specialists in all property related matters and this latest appointment and the relocation of Heather and John to Birmingham really demonstrates the breadth and depth of work that we do for clients, not only in the West Midlands region but right across the UK.”
