A prestigious development in Herefordshire is booming despite the tough economic climate, after securing three new lettings.
Set in the heart of the Brockhampton Estate, the high quality office development is just five miles away from the M50 and approximately 15 minutes from the historic city of Hereford and the market town of Ross-on-Wye. After a successful twelve months on the market, six units at Brockhampton have already been leased, leaving only two units vacant with one further unit being under offer.
Rob Champion of letting agents Halls Commercial said, “We are delighted to have agreed further lettings on four more units at Brockhampton. Whilst the demand for space has not surprised us, given the site’s qualities, it has been excellent to see a number of local businesses continuing to grow despite the continued uncertainty in global markets.
“Brockhampton is rapidly evolving into a rural business centre where modern, often high tech businesses can thrive. The influx of workers is creating vibrancy in the local community and helping to support numerous other local businesses along the way. This is a fine example of rural regeneration and more lettings on the site in due course will further enhance that fact.”
The Timebank, which provides a financial planning consultancy service, has signed a five-year lease at Brockhampton offices for the Middle Granary, measuring 947 sq ft. Founded in 2002, the company employs eight people and has relocated from offices in Herefordshire.
Damian Davies, director of The Timebank, said: “We chose the Middle Granary because we needed a bigger office space and Brockhampton provides first class space in beautiful surroundings.”
Propersmart, founders of the deal-based website www.offeroftheday.co.uk, has leased the Lower Granary, measuring 1,303 sq ft, on a two-year contract.
Rick Harris started the company in 2005, which, up until recently, was run from his home in Herefordshire. However, the site’s growing popularity means Rick has hired more staff to cope with the demand from consumers and retailers, and moved the team to a larger office space.
Ennis Al-Saiegh, head of marketing at Propersmart, said: “In the next six months we are looking to expand the business even further with two more employees. We chose Brockhampton because it is in a great location and the Internet connection is unbelievably fast, which is a huge bonus as we update the online offers every 30 minutes.”
The online deals website promotes offers from hundreds of major retailers including Argos, Marks & Spencer and Comet. Propersmart also provides a search marketing facility.
Ambrey Risk, a security risk management company, has pledged themselves to Brockhampton for a further five years after expanding into two additional units on the estate – West Stables (775 sq ft) and Great Barn South (1,421 sq ft).
The company, which already leases The Dairy (2,099 sq ft), has doubled its square footage and now occupies just over 40% of the total floor area of the development.
The development’s first tenant, The Site Doctor Limited, has recently completed its first 12 months in occupation.
Tim Gaunt, managing director, said: “Things continue to go from strength to strength with Brockhampton and we are thrilled that so many other businesses have seen the benefits of locating to the site. The Site Doctor continues to grow despite the tough economic climate and being located in a commercial environment such as this helps us to maintain a positive outlook for the future.”
