Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) has acquired London-based Headway Recruitment – further consolidating its presence in the capital.
It is BRG’s second acquisition this year following the purchase of The Plus Team.
Both new agencies will be based at prestigious offices in Hanover Square, Mayfair.
The latest acquisition will add £1.5m to BRG’s turnover, which is projected to reach £56m in 2015.
Last year, BRG established a presence in London with the acquisition of PRC Employment and Mainline Resourcing (including specialist division Express Rail Services).
Headway Recruitment was initially founded in 1996 and all six staff will be transferring to BRG’s Hanover Square offices.
The agency specialises in both temporary and permanent recruitment across office support, customer service, call centre and HR roles with a broad range of clients across London.
Chris Chown, BRG’s managing director, said: “The acquisition of Headway follows on from two other purchases in London as we establish ourselves in the capital.
“The agency has a fine reputation, fits with our profile and has excellent staff whose number we hope to increase.
“We are one of the country’s fastest-growing recruitment businesses and Headway is a perfect fit for us.
“For the time being it will operate under its existing name and we anticipate quick growth.
“Our presence in the capital is now even stronger and our plan is to continue to develop Berry Recruitment Group organically and through acquisition.”
Katie Kenniford, Headway’s commercial director, has worked there for 16 years.
She said: “Everyone is excited about the future and it’s brilliant to be joining forces with Berry.
“None of our clients will be inconvenienced during the transition and the association with the Berry brands will further strengthen our service as we go forward.”
BRG, headquartered in St Albans, Herts, now operates from 30 branches across England and Wales, employing more than 180 people.
The purchase price for Headway Recruitment has not been disclosed.
