Leading recruitment and training company Acorn has made two key appointments to further strengthen its IT department at their Newport Head Office.
The company has appointed Ryan Lewis and David Frederick as IT Recruitment Resourcers, following a successful period of growth fuelled by market demand which has seen the department require additional members of staff.
Prior to his new role at Acorn 24-year-old David Frederick from Pontyclun previously worked as an Online Marketing Executive for Spindogs. In his new role he will be responsible for sourcing candidates for IT roles for various companies and guiding them throughout the whole recruitment process.
Speaking about his new role David said: “I am very excited to be joining a well-respected division within a leading company such as Acorn.
“I am looking forward to the challenge of finding quality IT professionals that meet the specific requirements of our clients.”
23-year-old Ryan Lewis from Newport studied at the University of Wales, Newport and gained valuable customer service experience before joining Acorn.
Speaking about his new role Ryan said: “The IT sector is a very fast paced and developing market and I am looking forward to the challenge of a new role and working with Acorn’s dedicated team and managers.”

With over 20 years in the business, Acorn operates from 39 branches across Wales and England, placing up to 6,500 people into the workplace with around 850 different clients each week. The group also delivers training to more than 1,000 individuals and makes 1,700 permanent placements every year.
