Tracesmart, a company founded and headquartered in Cardiff, Wales has recently extended its Cardiff Bay office in a deal brokered by leading property consultants, JLL.
The business has acquired a further 4,000 sq ft and now occupies a total of 12,000 sq ft in the Global Reach building on Celtic Gateway Business Park. The increased floor space will accommodate a 50 per cent increase in the company’s workforce following the creation of 40 new jobs.
Tracesmart supplies essential information that helps customers across various industries to manage their data requirements, including, predicting, assessing and managing risk. The new jobs include highly skilled IT developers and engineers and will support Tracesmart as it becomes the UK centre of excellence for LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, which acquired the company in April 2014.
Rhydian Morris, director in JLL’s Cardiff office commented: “JLL were instructed to secure a property solution for Tracesmart’s rapid expansion with time being of the essence. Alternative properties were considered, however an expansion at their existing office building was the best option, especially as Global Reach offers a Grade A office specification with a good car parking ratio.”
Rhiannon Wilcox, finance and operations director at Tracesmart, now rebranded as LexisNexis, said: “On the basis of scale and growth in demand for risk solutions, the UK is a key expansion market for LexisNexis. Cardiff was chosen as a centre of excellence and we will benefit from its thriving local IT industry and capitalise upon Tracesmart’s established business links in the region and beyond.”
John James, director of Fletcher Morgan who acted on behalf of the landlord, said: “My client was delighted to assist with Tracesmart’s Cardiff expansion, which we hope will continue. In addition, we currently have strong interest from other companies, which directly relates to the profile building and high quality office specification being offered.”
