Global alternative asset manager, The Carlyle Group, has announced it has secured several new lettings at Tanfield, a prime office scheme on Inverleith Row, Edinburgh. CBRE and Ryden are the joint letting agents.
Technology firm Dell has acquired a suite on the first floor of the building, comprising 14,317 sq ft of space, whilst existing tenant FNZ, an IT software company, has taken on a further 12,352 sq ft on the ground floor. Additionally gym operator Anytime Fitness has signed up to take a 3,724 sq ft suite at ground floor level, and is expected to be trading from mid-February. These new lettings have resulted in 80% occupation of the building.
Tanfield offers high quality, flexible and affordable Grade A office space with excellent levels of amenity for staff, within walking distance of the city centre. The building is proving to be extremely popular with occupiers, with over 50,000 sq ft let within the building in the last year alone.
Bryan Sherriff from ColdSpring, asset manager for Tanfield, said: “The lettings to Dell and Anytime Fitness, as well as the retention and expansion of existing tenants such as FNZ, reaffirms Tanfield’s position as a highly attractive option for companies seeking competitively priced space that offers their employees something more than simply a place to work.
“In addition to providing a range of tenant focused events and services, we have recently undertaken a number of building improvements including Wi-Fi within the common parts, additional cycle racks and the introduction of a Galway Gourmet coffee pod. The recent letting to Anytime Fitness also means that there will be an on-site gym from mid-February onwards.
“We are confident that the amenity offer and excellent specification of the building will continue to attract tenants going forward.”
CBRE and Ryden represented the landlord; JLL acted for Dell, Dougray Smith for FNZ and Eric Young & Co for Anytime Fitness.
