JLL’s Exeter office has announced it is moving to the best office building in central Exeter – The Senate. The move to larger premises, from nearby Keble House, is a reflection of the global property firm’s ongoing success and need to accommodate its growing team.
The property consultancy firm, which has had a presence in the city since 1990, has agreed to take a large part of the ground floor of the office building, from landlord Valad, as the firm continues to expand its business. It has agreed terms on over 4,500 sq ft of Grade A office space.
Charles Kislingbury, lead director of JLL’s Exeter office, said: “Our move to The Senate will take place in early spring in what is our 25th year of successfully working in the city “
“The relocation of the office is driven by our continued growth and reflects the ongoing success and hard work of the Exeter team. As the economic climate continues to improve, the additional space we have secured will provide a fantastic environment for our staff and clients and fits our plans to grow as we continue to invest in our South West business.”
The major areas of growth for the property firm have been witnessed in Residential Land and Planning as well as investment in a new Renewable Energy Capital team which was launched by director Dane Wilkins in 2012.
Charles Kislingbury added: “The headcount of the office has grown significantly over the last two years creating an increased pressure on space which, alongside JLL’s drive to provide a dynamic workplace, meant it was a simple decision to move to The Senate.”

JLL’s Building Surveying team, led by director David Slee, is project managing the move including the landlord’s works.
JLL will be the first occupier of the refitted and re-branded ground floor.
