Kal Jamal, a qualified lawyer and one of the area’s most respected property specialists, has joined Headleys Solicitors, the long-established full-service legal practice, with offices in the south Leicestershire towns of Lutterworth and Hinckley.
With extensive experience in all aspects of commercial property, including leases, licences, acquisition and disposal, Kal has recently been responsible for a series of substantial transaction cases, together with re-financing on behalf of a number of large corporations.
Welcoming Kal to the practice, Rod Stephenson, a principal of the firm, said: “Kal has a solid background in commercial property and all areas of civil law, including litigation, employment and corporate criminal cases. His wide-ranging experience includes commercial property and real estate, and his experience in Islamic finance, Murabaha agreements and residential Islamic mortgages, brings a whole new dimension to the practice’s skill set, we are delighted to have him on board.”
Kal has ensured a seamless transition for the practice’s client-base following the retirement of the firm’s longest serving principal, Rob Broughton. “I am looking forward to working with Headleys’ dynamic team and becoming a key player in the future development of the business. It’s important we continue to provide the range of services today’s client demands whilst maintaining the quality and clarity of communication and effectiveness our client base and the profession at large has come to expect from Headleys,” Kal confirmed.
Rob Broughton was also pleased to welcome Kal to the practice, concluding with: “It’s an absolute pleasure to hand over to Kal, an experienced professional, who I am sure will continue to provide an excellent level of service at Headleys. After 32 years I have seen the practice thrive and grow, and I know I am leaving it in very capable hands.”
