RMW Knight, with joint agents CBRE, have sold the former Newton Steel Premises, Gibbs Marsh Trading Estate, near Templecombe on behalf of Murray Group Holdings to AJN Steelstock Ltd. The property, which is one of the largest industrial properties in Somerset, comprises two detached industrial buildings totalling 322,000 sq ft on a self-contained 17 acre site. The guide price was £2.75 million.
AJN Steelstock Ltd plan to open for sales in Autumn 2015, following a £10m investment in equipment, they expect to be recruiting 100-125 people in the next 18 months and intend for the site to be the steel service centre in the area, servicing the South, South West, Midlands and everything in between.
