Leading UK commercial property advisor GVA has appointed four new senior directors from its existing ranks to strengthen further growth in its UK business, including Rebecca Millard in its Midlands office.
Rebecca, a senior member of the company’s national Valuation Consultancy team, has been appointed to Senior Director.
Her elevated role will help strengthen and grow this core national service area for GVA, as well as bolster its local Midlands team. In turn, this will also help support the company’s aspiration to secure larger and higher profile mandates from existing and future clients.
Ian Stringer, Regional Senior Director in GVA’s Midlands office, said: “Rebecca’s appointment comes at a key time for GVA, as we are seeing significant growth across a number of sectors within the Midlands. I would like to congratulate Rebecca as this promotion is a reflection of the significant commitment and levels of work and dedication that she has demonstrated throughout her time at GVA.”
Rebecca’s appointment to Senior Director is one of a number of promotions across GVA’s business areas. This organic growth strategy sets out a clear endorsement to the business areas and markets where GVA sees significant business development uplift.
Gavin Brent MRICS, GVA’s national head of Hotels and Leisure is promoted to senior director. Brent was managing director of Humberts Leisure before the business was successfully acquired by GVA in 2011. The commendation presents the company’s bid to support GVA’s drive to bolster and expand this important national team off the back of a year that saw marked revenue increases in the sector.
Ken McCormack MRICS, a recently inherited business head following GVA’s successful acquisition of James Barr in 2013, is a vital component of GVA James Barr and demonstrates the ease with which GVA and James Barr have come together.
McCormack’s recent appointment as the first Scottish president of the Rating Surveyors Association in its 105 year history, coupled with his strategic role as head of Business Rates in Scotland warrants his new appointment as senior director.
Peter Constantine FRICS, who also sits within the national Hotels and Leisure team specialising in the pub sector, is appointed senior director. As well as presenting a further endorsement to the company’s national Hotels and Leisure service area, the move highlights GVA’s eagerness to back a niche sector which continues to go from strength to strength off the back of a buoyant pubs market and impending policy change.
Rob Bould, chief executive of GVA, comments: “These senior director appointments denote our next step in investing in our business at a higher strategic level. By advancing these individuals and the sectors and clients they represent, we’re backing those services that we believe are set to grow exponentially in line with the market and our own business plan.”
