Colliers International has boosted its planning team in Scotland, with the hire of Meabhann Crowe as senior planning consultant. A chartered town planner, Meabhann has been in private practice for nearly ten years, latterly with Halliday Fraser Munro, and brings considerable experience across renewable energy, commercial, retail, mixed-use and residential projects.
Anthony Aitken, head of planning with Colliers International, said: “Meabhann has developed a substantial track-record, across a wide range of planning issues, including site appraisals, planning applications, appeals and development plan bids. She brings a sound knowledge of planning policy and guidance, with practical experience of the development and planning process, which will further strengthen our practice in Scotland.”
Colliers’ Scottish planning team covers the entire Scottish market geographically, with particular strength and depth in private sector commercial projects and strategic settlement expansion. Its wide range of planning consultancy work includes development plan promotion and detailed planning applications, which has seen the team secure planning permission for a mixed use economically viable proposal for the 150 acre Halbeath, Dunfermline site, formerly the Freescale single user inward investment location, one of the UK’s largest planning permissions in 2014.
Meabhann Crowe added: “Planning plays a key role in the economic and social prosperity of Scotland. The range of projects being spearheaded by Colliers’ planning team touches every corner of Scotland and I look forward to supporting the future success of these developments.”
