As demand for commercial property increases in Leicestershire, the county’s leading chartered surveyor, Mather Jamie, has welcomed a new face to support growing business.
Mike Bateman, 50, has joined the Loughborough-based agent in the role of Commercial Property Assistant, as the firm’s client base continues to grow.
Mike, who has a chemistry degree and previously worked as a research scientist at 3M and an aeronautical engine at Rolls Royce, has joined the commercial property team to oversee property viewings, update software and liaise with clients.
Mike, of Loughborough, comments: “Having lived and worked in Loughborough for many years, I have long been aware of Mather Jamie’s excellent reputation, so I’m delighted to have joined such a well-known and long established firm.
“It is great to have a role that offers so much variety and I enjoy the fact that no two days are the same.
“I believe my extensive customer service experience will prove essential to the role, particularly when liaising with clients, dealing with enquiries and assisting with their property search.
“Joining the Mather Jamie team is proving to be a great experience and I look forward to the challenges ahead.”
Outside the office, Mike likes to keep just as busy and never misses an opportunity to get out in the open air.
Mike adds: “I’m very much the outdoors type and enjoy camping, hill walking and mountaineering, as well as scuba diving, for which I have been an instructor for a number of years.”
Director, Alex Reid, comments: “We are delighted to have Mike on board to support the company as demand for our services grows.
“Mike will now support us with delivering the professional and reliable services Mather Jamie is renowned for.”
