A leading Midland law firm has been able to move into its impressive new Birmingham city centre offices in double-quick time, thanks to support from a specialist fit-out company.
DBS Law has moved from Five Ways to Grade A offices at 158 Edmund Street, in the heart of Birmingham’s business district, after commissioning Ashan Projects to manage the office transformation.
The Fort Dunlop-based company completed the project, which included electrical services, plumbing, carpentry, and the installation of glass partitions, in just four weeks, and acted as advisers to the award-winning law firm on office furnishings.
Ashan Projects, launched last year have collectively more than 20 years of experience in fit-outs and interior design for commercial, retail and residential projects.
Davy Bal, chairman of DBS Law, said: “It was a brief with a very tight deadline but we were extremely fortunate to have such a creative and hard-working team that was able to complete the project in time and within budget.
“We had a good idea of how we wanted our new office space to look and feel, and Ashan Projects worked very closely with us to ensure that our new home accurately reflects our ambitions for growth.
“Our office is a first-class space and we are looking forward to serving clients old and new in the heart of Birmingham’s business district.”
Daljinder Sandhu, director of Ashan Projects, said: “We were given a blank canvas in which to create working space, meeting rooms and a kitchen for the staff at the law firm. For us, it was definitely an ideal opportunity to demonstrate the high level of fit-out work that we are capable of delivering.”
“It was a tight deadline but we are very pleased that we carried out all the work, including last-minute reconfigurations, well within time for the DBS Law staff to move in.”
In the heart of Birmingham’s traditional commercial core, 158 Edmund Street is surrounded by the city’s best-established business brands. The scheme provides a high profile address and excellent first impression located adjacent to the newly created Church Street Square.
DBS Law has offices in both the East and West Midlands serving clients across the UK. Through its DBS Heart programme, it is committed to supporting the community. Initiatives include being the first corporate patron of The Prince’s Trust in Birmingham and leading a partnership with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to create a series of concerts for thousands of primary school children across the city, educating them about road safety.
