An experienced investor, director has joined the board of one of the region’s fastest growing companies.
Julian Telling, who is well-known on the Bristol business scene having set up the Falcon Group in the early 1980s and been a Non-Executive Director of the insurance broker Brightside Group, has joined telecoms company Pure Comms as non-executive Chairman.
Having grown from one to twelve staff in five years; and from a standing start turnover to just shy of £2 million, Pure Comms is a fast-growing business and has outlined ambitious plans going forward.
The company operates out of 2 400 sq ft offices, outside of Bristol, and will open a new office in Cornwall in early 2015.
Pure Comms’ Managing Director Rob Vivian comments: “I am delighted to welcome Julian to the board, his experience and knowledge will serve us well as we look to continue growing and creating skilled jobs in the region. We will be soon be opening a new office in Cornwall, and it will be important for myself and the rest of the board to tap into Julian’s stewardship.”
Julian is currently a partner at Heron Capital – a private equity firm that has invested in brands such as Orchard Pig, Grill Stock, OSO Juicy and many more; and also holds a number of other non-executive roles across the UK and internationally.
He is also a professional pilot.

Pure Comms currently count Bristol Airport, auctioneers Bonhams, BWOC, Britannia Windows and Bristol based recruitment firms JJF Fox, Redrock and Opus as customers.
