Global real estate adviser Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has recruited six new members of staff for its growing UK retail property and asset management business.
In London, Gwen Youlden has been hired as the team’s new head of marketing and commercialisation alongside surveyor Anna Maslenikova. Gwen joins C&W from JLL where she spent the last three years heading up its London retail marketing team, while McCarthy & Stone previously employed Anna.
John Hussey joins C&W’s Manchester office as a senior surveyor from Savills, where he spent the last six years in its Peterborough and Manchester practices. John brings with him many years of client-facing experience dealing with the day-to-day management of retail parks, industrial business parks, multi-let offices, and single-let portfolios.
Martin Sheed is the latest addition to C&W’s Glasgow office and has been recruited as a surveyor in its property asset management team. Martin previously worked at Hillhouse Properties where he focused primarily on the industrial market.
Two new graduates have also joined the business: Chris House, who graduated from the University of Reading, becomes part of the London team, while Graham Evans has started in Glasgow following the completion of his degree from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
C&W’s head of UK retail property and asset management, Carl Foreman, said: “Our six new recruits will form an integral part of our future success as we look to expand our retail property and asset management business. The strategic hiring of Gwen Youlden in particular will certainly strengthen our offering as we look to capture additional market share.”
