Electrical, mechanical and building services contractor BFL Electrical has purchased a two-storey office building on the Village Farm Industrial Estate at Pyle, near Bridgend, as a new head office for the business that has grown steadily over the last eight years.
BFL was formed eight years ago in Port Talbot and provides electrical installations in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors. The new premises have 2,128 sq ft offices with large car park, on a site of 0.45 acres.
Director Carl Clement said: “The business is going very well and, while we will be keeping facilities in Port Talbot, this new headquarters will give us modern, professional facilities and provide us with a great base from which our company will operate.
Property consultant Knight Frank advised the landlord on the sale of the premises. Neil Francis, head of Industrial agency at Knight Frank, said: “Village Farm Industrial Estate is an established mix of office, industrial and retail occupiers and its location, close to the M4 motorway and midway between Cardiff and Swansea, is ideal for a company seeking to serve the M4 corridor like BFL.”
As well as moving into its new HQ building, BFL Electrical has also appointed Wales and British Lions rugby international hooker Richard Hibbard to the company. He joins as business development director with a brief to promote BFL throughout South Wales.
Carl Clement said: “These are exciting times and our company is taking a massive step forward. We feel the time is right to take this opportunity as the company looks set for sustainable growth over the next few years.
