Europe’s top saddle tree maker has moved to new premises in Staffordshire.
Lariot Europe Ltd has moved to Units 28B & C, Zone 3, at Burntwood Business Park, a 6,775 sq ft premises where the company will undertake its production and development work.
The company, which provides saddle trees – the frames for saddles – for the world’s leading saddle makers, agreed a 10-year lease to move from its previous headquarters in Aldridge, Walsall, so it could continue to innovate and invest in its future.
Gaynor Lorenzo, of Lariot Europe, said that because the company has a policy of investment and development, new premises were needed for the next stage of growth.
“We are investing heavily in new CAM machinery and we will also be looking at recruiting extra staff early in the new year,” she said.
“We had been looking for new premises for a while without much success as we wanted somewhere that offered modern manufacturing facilities. The units at Burntwood Business Park met our specification criteria perfectly and will enable us to continue growing the company and offering the best products to our customers across the world.
“This is a very exciting time for us and we are confident of a very bright future.”
Paula James, sales negotiator at London & Cambridge Properties, which owns and manages Zone 3 at Burntwood Business Park, said it was the latest in a flurry of new tenants to set up business there after a significant upturn in the number of inquiries from businesses looking to locate to the estate.
“We made a conscious decision to continue investing in our real estate portfolio during the downturn so that units were ready for the right tenants when the market conditions began to improve,” he said.
“We’ve welcomed a number of new tenants and we are pleased that such a prestigious company as Lariot Europe Ltd was attracted to the facilities here.”
