Growing accountancy and business advisory firm Jerroms is set to expand its Worcestershire arm with the help of Redditch property agents John Truslove.
The Bromsgrove operation is poised to move out of its current base at St. John’s House, 22 St. John Street, and into Five Mile House, Hanbury Road.
It follows the recent agreed mergers between Solihull-based Jerroms, Bromsgrove firm Harrison Priddey & Co and Trafalgars, based in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
The combined business now practices under the names of Jerroms, Jerroms Priddey and Jerroms Trafalgars, varying according to locality, with the total number of staff more than 90.
It has pledged to attract new clients across south Birmingham and Worcestershire, hence the Bromsgrove move.
Five Mile House comprises 5,117 sq ft on two floors and has been acquired in a significant six-figure transaction.
A prestigious headquarters building, it stands at the head of the Metal & Ores Estate and was built in 1999.
There are open plan offices, meeting room, conference room and other facilities, capacity for 20 cars and provision for additional parking.
Ben Truslove, a director of John Truslove, said: “It is quality. In our opinion there are few, if any, more attractive office buildings in the area.
“I think this is a great move for Jerroms Priddey and very important in terms of their growth ambitions.”
Jerroms director Mark Eden, who previously lived in the Bromsgrove area for a number of years, said: “North Worcestershire is a vibrant business area and our aim is not only to serve our clients even more effectively but to increase our client base in this area and in south Birmingham.
“To that end we felt we needed extra office space and Five Mile House is the opportunity which presented itself thanks to the efforts of John Truslove.
“We are particularly optimistic because this part of our region is benefiting from economic recovery driven by a higher level of confidence in the future, and this is us making a statement that we want to be part of it and invest in it.”
Mr Eden said it was hoped the move would lead to some new jobs.
The new offices are well-placed for the motorway network with the M5 seven minutes away and the M42 ten minutes.
