Staff from leading property adviser, GVA have hit the road for MIPIM UK’s charity bike ride event, with a team from the West Midlands office cycling 95 miles from Sheffield to Birmingham.
The ten-strong team, supporting Samantha McClary, Deputy Editor of Estates Gazette, set out on their eight-hour cycle at 8am and completing their journey in Birmingham’s Brindleyplace at 4pm.
Sam, who is cycling and running from Edinburgh to London ahead of the inaugural MIPIM UK in support of the event’s charity of choice, The Duke of Edinburgh Award, arrived in Sheffield from Liverpool before being joined by the GVA team.
Craig Alsbury, Senior Director in the PDR team at GVA in Birmingham, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring and to be taking part in this year’s MIPIM UK cycle event in aid of The Duke of Edinburgh Award. The GVA team worked hard to get in shape and there has been a huge amount of support across the team for all those taking part.”
Sam’s MIPIM UK challenge consists of a 15-day journey, cycling and running over 1,100 miles across 13 towns and cities, where she is viewing major schemes and talking to some of the industry’s key property players.
MIPIM UK is the first UK property trade show gathering together professionals looking to close deals in the UK property market, including agents, investors, developers, and business service providers.
