A new bookmaker’s shop is earmarked for the Hill Top area of West Bromwich.
Black Country property agents Bond Wolfe have completed a deal for Corals to take No 115 on a ten year lease.
The property will be given a complete overhaul before opening.
It is the firm’s second recent deal involving national betting companies and follows Paddy Power launching in Bearwood.
James Mattin, Bond Wolfe managing partner, said the transaction was a further reflection of the improving retail market.
“I am delighted to conclude a deal locally to one of the most recognised bookies in the UK,” he noted.
“It demonstrates our ability to transact both with national operators and independent traders alike.
“Corals were quick to react when this property came available and we agreed terms less than three weeks from commencing marketing. It is a clear sign that the retail market is extremely active in the region. Hill Top will provide Corals with an excellent trading position to capture local trade.”
With a total area of 625 sq ft, it is in a prominent mid-parade position.
Nearby occupiers include a Bargain Booze outlet, a public house, a surgery, and a Costcutter convenience store.
The premises were let on behalf of a private landlord following the departure of his previous tenant.
