The Mayor of Doncaster was on hand to officially open Sensible Home Finance’s new town centre offices.
The leading UK brokerage has completed a £250,000 refurbishment into their new home in Gresley House on Ten Pound Walk, after substantial growth in the last year led to it outgrowing its previous location.
Mayor of Doncaster, Ros Jones, was on hand to cut the ribbon at the official opening which was also attended by Jo Miller, chief executive at Doncaster Council, and Paul Dickov, manager of Doncaster Rovers FC.
Guests were given a tour of the new premises which also house companies Engaged CRM, Jibba Jabba, Fenwood Estates and Lakeside IT.
Andrew Fisher and Carl Kroger, joint owners of Sensible Home Finance, said: “Following this move into our new premises, the plan is to recruit another 100 staff over the next 12 months.
“The majority of our staff have been here for a long time and grown with the company. We now want to recruit more people from the area as we know the calibre of staff we require is in the town.
“Doncaster is a close-knit community and we get great satisfaction in giving people a start in their careers. We pride ourselves on investing in people and this office move is just one step to getting to where we want to be.”
Speaking at the event, Ms Jones said: “I’m proud and delighted to be here today to officially open Sensible Home Finance’s new offices.
“It’s fantastic to see people with a real entrepreneurial approach build and expand a company and then offer young people opportunities to come and develop their own skills.
“One of my key aims when I was first elected as Mayor of Doncaster was to improve jobs and growth, so to hear that they are looking to recruit another 100 people following this office move is great news.”
