Property consultants Alder King in Gloucester have let another two units at Ashchurch Business Centre in Tewkesbury in another sign of an improving commercial market.
Unit 29 has been let to Battery Megastore, the UK’s leading online battery retailer, for use as its new headquarters while Unit 30 has been let to BB Fabrications Ltd, an expanding aluminium fabrications business previously based in Ledbury.
Unit 29, the larger of the two units, provides Battery Megastore with over 11,000 sq ft of high quality office and industrial space. It has taken the property on a new five year lease and has now relocated from its previous base at Tewkesbury Business Park.
Battery Megastore, which has European branches in Amsterdam, Caen and Barcelona, supplies a wide range of batteries, chargers, inverters and accessories for different applications including cars, trucks, motor bikes, jet skis and caravans. The firm’s commercial sales executive Paul Collins said:
“The new Battery Megastore UK building offers larger warehousing and office space all under one roof with great access to the M5 and M4. It’s a great step forward for us, allowing us to keep expanding our sales in the UK & Europe.”
BB Fabrications has taken the 5,493 sq ft Unit 30 on a 10 year lease to accommodate continued expansion and be geographically closer to suppliers and customers.
Rob Holley of Alder King said: “Ashchurch Business Centre has a well-established industrial reputation which has helped it remain a favourite location for new and established industrial companies. For both new occupiers, the Centre offered good quality accommodation with dedicated yards and parking areas and easy access to the motorway network at junction 9 of the M5.
“We now have just four remaining units available, ranging in size from 4,902 to 9,719 sq ft.”
Alder King acted on behalf of M Seven Real Estate. Battery Megastore and BB Fabrications were unrepresented.
