East Midlands property consultancy Innes England has been appointed as joint retail agent for the Oasis Retail Park, Willow Place and Corby Town Shopping Centre in Northamptonshire.
The firm, which has offices in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, has been appointed as joint agents with Savills by Helical Bar plc to promote the 700,000 sq ft+ retail scheme, which has undergone considerable improvement works since its acquisition by Helical in 2011.
Paul Watson, director at Innes England’s Leicester office, said: “Corby is a town on the up; it’s been the subject of significant investment over recent years and is growing rapidly, with the UK’s largest number of new homes under construction.
“Corby already draws a footfall of more than 160,000 shoppers a week, resulting from the strong retail offer with H&M, Primark, TK Maxx, River Island, Burton and Costa to a name a few. This is a vibrant and successful town centre that we are delighted to be a part of. Our client’s ownership extends not only to the high street units in the town centre but also to the Oasis Retail Park so we are able to offer a range of different options to interested parties either on a long term or flexible basis.”
Ben Taylor, head of retail agency, working alongside Paul Watson commented: “The town already benefits from a strong line-up of popular high street names but Helical is committed to a balance of national and independent retailers. Working with a pro-active and flexible landlord helps to produce results quickly, and we are pleased to announce three deals agreed already, and hope to announce more soon.”
