A Welsh independent insurance broker has appointed a new senior account manager, as it records £400,000 of investment into Cardiff.
Prescott Jones Insurance Solutions, which opened its Cardiff premises in 2012 has appointed Maria Hurley to develop new commercial opportunities and manage relationships with clients across south east Wales.
Hurley, aged 43, brings over two decades of experience in the insurance industry. Her appointment allows the firm’s Cardiff office to operate independently from its Swansea headquarters, offering a full service operation including initial insurance and risk management programme planning, on-going services and claims handling.
The Cardiff branch has seen continued growth since its establishment, winning 12 new corporate contracts in August alone. This has resulted in Prescott Jones adding to its current team of five senior insurance and risk management specialists.
Mrs Hurley has joined a former colleague, Jeremy Nicholas, who she worked with at Underwood Insurance in Newport, before, by acquisition, it became part of Cullum Capital Ventures. She said:
