Three businesses across Bristol will be tucking in to surprise Christmas dinners this year after being presented with fresh turkeys by industrial landlords SEGRO.
The firms, who all operate out of SEGRO’s Bristolworks industrial parks across the city, were chosen to receive free turkeys after providing end of term reports on their landlord’s performance over the last 12 months.
A J Furniture – based at the Beeches Industrial park in Yate, a family firm that sells furniture and beds, has been operating from the thriving Yate business park for six years, moving in to a new unit from another location on the estate last January.
Director Kate Collins said they were delighted with the support SEGRO had offered in their transitional year. She said: “We moved to the new premises at the beginning of the year and the transition was handled effectively and quickly so as not to disrupt us in any way. SEGRO helped us get things moving and we were only too pleased to be able to flag up all the excellent support we have received.
“People from SEGRO continue to call round every week and are constantly looking at ways of updating the estate. It is now looking smarter and more modern, welcoming business people and visitors alike.”
The unit is part of a terrace of ten undergoing an extensive refurbishment programme aimed at enhancing the Beeches’ reputation as one of the best locations in the north of Bristol.
Jonathan Allen from Colliers International, who markets the Beeches on behalf of SEGRO, said it was encouraging to see such positive feedback.
He said: “It’s great to see the confidence our new occupiers have in their landlords and demonstrates to prospective tenants what a difference pro-active management can make to their business.”
Chris Davies, SEGRO Leasing Manager for the South West, said: “It was great to see such positive feedback from businesses across the city.
“Our philosophy is based on encouraging businesses to flourish and succeed in a high quality environment and it’s clear our clients appreciate us going the extra nine yards on their behalf.”
Turkeys were also presented to Parkers Bakery at South Liberty Lane and Pickfords in Pucklechurch.
