CBRE has moved its Birmingham HQ to 55 Temple Row.
The property consultancy is now occupying 13,500 sq ft on the ground and first floors of Hermes Real Estate’s locally listed building. The firm has a fifteen-year lease at a rent of £22 per sq ft.
Hermes Real Estate has invested £1 million in upgrading the premises. CBRE’s building consultancy team project managed the makeover.
55 Temple Row is on a raised podium fronting St Philip’s Cathedral Square. Originally occupied by the Bank of England, latterly it has been home to the Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Bank. The building was designed by Fitzroy Robinson & Partners. It features Portland stone and copper clad beams and was built between 1969 and 1972.
Ashley Hancox, a senior director in CBRE’s office agency team, said: “It’s great to have our own front door in this much sought after location in the central business district.
