Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership used a recent breakfast briefing to launch its new ‘World Class Worcestershire’ inward investment brochure and film.
Both the film and the brochure seek to position the county as a perfect destination for growing businesses, be they foreign investors or those who already have a presence elsewhere in the UK. The new marketing tools are part of a concerted drive by the Local Enterprise Partnership, County Council, District Councils, UKTI and other partners to raise Worcestershire’s profile as an inward investment destination. They form part of a wider strategy that also includes the establishment of a specialist inward investment team and which aims to promote four ‘Gamechanger’ and other Strategic Investment Sites that are available for development in the county.
Peter Pawsey, Executive Chair at Worcestershire LEP, says: “Although a recent report showed that Worcestershire’s performance has improved in terms of the number and extent of investments attracted to the county, there is still a lot more we can do. These two new marketing tools, used as part of a wider inward investment strategy, will help us to raise our game so that we can attract more investors – and hence jobs – to the county.”
