Bristol & Bath Science Park is a thriving hub of technology and innovation – so it’s no surprise that its iconic interior was chosen to feature in an advert for one of the latest smartphones.
The promotional film for the new Samsung Galaxy S5 tells the story of a designer who uses the smartphone across Bristol in preparation for an investor meeting, which takes place at the Science Park.
The footage at the Science Park features The Forum – a bright and airy place to eat, meet and network – and its striking solar chandelier, designed by Luke Jerram, as well as various meeting rooms. The film can be seen on YouTube.
Bonnie Dean, chief executive of Bristol & Bath Science Park, says:
“The Forum at Bristol & Bath Science Park is a unique and beautifully-designed space created to inspire entrepreneurs and enable innovation. So it is highly appropriate that the Park was chosen as the backdrop to a film promoting a new smartphone release by leading technologist and innovator Samsung.”
The Science Park has been used as the setting for numerous films. Only recently, robotics firm MapleBird starred in a film shot at the Science Park to promote a trade mission to California.
Eight of the UK’s most promising and innovative SMEs in Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS), including four from the West of England, took part in the mission in June.
