Leading law firm Geldards has strengthened its nationally recognised Dispute Resolution team with the appointment of Ruth Thurland.
Ruth joins the firm as Associate, and will deal with contentious and non-contentious corporate and personal insolvency.
Nino Simone, Head of Geldards’ Dispute Resolution team in the Midlands, welcomed Ruth to the firm and explained: “We’re delighted that Ruth has joined the firm and her extensive experience of business recovery and insolvency will further strengthen our nationally recognised Dispute Resolution team.”
Paul Southby, a Partner in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team added: “By working closely with colleagues across the firm’s practice areas, Ruth’s knowledge of technical and complex areas of insolvency will help us continue to deliver a comprehensive service to our clients.”
The main areas of Ruth’s work include advising insolvency practitioners on all aspects of insolvency, advising individuals and companies in financial difficulties, and advising directors on their duties and responsibilities.
Ruth is also an Associate member of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, and she sits on the committee of the East Midlands Women’s Group.
