A law firm in Shropshire is using its local connections to help major businesses expand and create jobs in the county.
Lawyers at Lanyon Bowdler are working with a number of businesses who are expanding their Shropshire bases as the local economy continues to grow.
Praveen Chaudhari, of Lanyon Bowdler’s commercial property team, said Shropshire was home to a large number of companies who were successful on an international scale – and many of them were expanding.
One such company is recent Shropshire Business Awards winner Aura Light, which is moving to bigger premises in Telford.
Praveen said: “We have been working with Aura Light to negotiate the lease on their new site which has helped to keep an exciting, growing business here in Shropshire.
“We are working with an increasing number of businesses who are looking to either expand their current base or move to a new site, which is a sure sign that the local economy is doing well.”
Aura Light, leaders in long life lighting solutions since the early 1930s, appointed Lanyon Bowdler for its move to larger premises in Telford which will create up to 16 new jobs over the next two years.
Simon Taylor, managing director, said work was well under way with an official opening planned for the beginning of September.
He added: “Praveen at Lanyon Bowdler was fantastic to work with. He gave excellent advice throughout the process and really pushed to ensure we completed on the building on time even after a number of setbacks from other parties.”
Lanyon Bowdler offers local businesses access to teams of highly experienced commercial lawyers from its offices in Shrewsbury, Telford, Oswestry, Ludlow and Hereford. It also assists directors of companies and other individuals with their personal legal needs.
