Energetics appointment set to spearhead regional operations

Independent energy firm, Energetics, has announced the appointment of midlands sales manager, Mark Guest, who has joined the multi-utility services provider to spearhead its regional operations.

With a career in the energy sector spanning 30-years, Mark is a highly experienced professional who brings a wealth of expertise and specialist knowledge to his new role.  Having initially trained as an electrician within the steel industry, Mark quickly made the progression to sales engineer and then to business development manager.  Over the decades, he has acquired wide-ranging skills, with varying roles involving the launch of products and services in the UK, working in international markets and growing export trade.

Mark will be based at Energetics’ Midlands office at Coleshill Industrial Estate in North Warwickshire. He explained what attracted him to the firm: “Energetics is clearly an ambitious, dynamic firm, with plans to increase the number of connections it makes in the region by a third, and I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to make a key contribution to such exciting growth plans.

“The company has a refreshing, independent approach and I am now looking forward to working for Energetics and playing a part in the company’s expansion as it continues to become a major force in the provision of utilities throughout the UK.”

Headquartered in Glasgow, Energetics is an independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) with more than 1,000 utility networks across the UK.  Competing with industry giants like Western Power, Scottish and Southern Energy and UK Power Networks, the firm provides an end-to-end utility service for residential, industrial and commercial developments, spanning both the public and private sectors.  The firm provides a full design, build and regulation service and is fully accredited in electricity, gas, water, telecoms and street lighting.

Bill McSheffery, major developments manager at Energetics, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Mark Guest to the Energetics team.  With such a wealth of experience and an enviable track record in utilities, Mark is set to make a real difference to our Midlands operations.  Energetics’ plans for the region are matched by Mark’s ambition and his determination to rise to the challenge; and as we enter a crucial phase in the firm’s ongoing expansion, we are looking forward to supporting Mark as he builds on the in-roads we have made throughout the region to-date.”
