Property consultant Myddelton & Major has sold and let a series of commercial properties in a successful month.
The Salisbury-based company has completed transactions on retail units, warehouse/industrial units and offices in Wiltshire.
They have included an expanding chain of Hampshire-based card shops with a Thorntons Chocolates franchise in Salisbury city centre.
Myddelton & Major negotiated a new 10 year lease with M&P Cards for its Occasions Cards shop in Winchester Street.
It is another welcome boost to the city centre’s continued growth as retail destination.
Simon Lee, retail partner at Myddelton & Major, said: “M&P Cards is the latest business to spot the potential in this vibrant part of Salisbury.
“It will trade as Occasions Cards with a Thorntons Chocolates franchise incorporated as part of their expanding business.
“This property has a prominent central trading position diagonally opposite the Market Place, on the corner of Queen Street and Endless Street.”
He added: “It is an ideal location for a new shop in a well-established retail area but also represents another welcome addition to Salisbury’s growing retail offer.”
Myddelton & Major has also successfully agreed negotiations recently for Salisbury city-centre premises with Amali Jules jewellery in the former Silver Gift Gallery in Bridge Street as well as instrument restorer and maker Charles Collis in Crane Street.
KV Metal Products Ltd purchased an extensive industrial unit and offices on Churchfields – Salisbury’s busiest industrial estate.
A private investor has snapped up a property at a busy Wiltshire business centre through Myddelton & Major.
A private investor bought the freehold of Unit 4 at The Boscombe Centre in Amesbury at the asking price.
The property is being let on a new full repairing and insuring lease for 5 years at a rent of £9,000 per annum to Chef’s Delight Ltd, suppliers of fresh food and vegetables to the catering trade.
Nobels Catering took a five year lease for a workshop at Three Arches Bridge in Station Road in Tisbury, Wiltshire.
The sales comes after Myddelton & Major successfully negotiated a series of transactions on Churchfields earlier this year.
They included a unit in Newton Road to Salisbury Glass Centre.
Penton Motor Group also bought prominently-placed premises through Myddelton & Major, while V-Tech Automotive leased space in Mitchell Road.
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2013 for the second year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online ‘bible’ of the UK commercial property industry.
As well as Wiltshire, it covers Hampshire, Dorset and Somerset.
