Bruton Knowles has welcomed the latest new arrival at its office in Birmingham.
The property consultancy has appointed Annette McNally as a senior surveyor within its professional services team.
Annette is an experienced property manager with more than 22 years in the railway industry, managing station and depot leases and working with train operators.
Prior to joining Bruton Knowles, Annette worked at Network Rail for 11 years, occupying a number of surveyor roles, most recently as part of the property services team leading on Nuneaton North Chord freight link and East West Rail Phase 1 Transport and Works Orders. She also led Network Rail Property on the land assembly for the creation of new railway stations across the West Midlands and managed asset protection issues on behalf of Centro for the Midland Metro extension in Birmingham city centre and the development of the Metro extension at Wolverhampton station.
At Bruton Knowles, Annette will undertake compulsory purchase, valuation, rating and development work on behalf of clients, including Network Rail and Centro.
Ian Pitt, partner and head of Bruton Knowles’ Birmingham office, said: “The transport sector is a significant area of business for Bruton Knowles. The firm is engaged on a number of key infrastructure projects, including the extension of the Midland Metro and HS2, and with Annette’s experience in the rail industry we see it as an opportunity to grow this area of the business even further.”
Bruton Knowles has also promoted Adam Rock from associate to partner.
Adam joined Bruton Knowles in 2009 as a senior surveyor. He specialises valuation, rating and advising landlords and tenants on rent reviews, lease renewals and new lease agreements.
His promotion means Adam becomes the fourth partner in the Birmingham office, joining Ian Pitt, Ian Mercer and Steve Cox.
Ian said: “Adam’s promotion to partner is thoroughly deserved. Since joining the firm five years ago, Adam has established himself as valuable member of the team and has played a key role in the growth and development of the professional services business.”
