Williams & Co, an independent supplier of plumbing and heating materials in Southern England, has signed up to take over 46,000 sq ft at Fareham Industrial Park, which is owned by Standard Life Investments.
Williams & Co, which has 27 outlets across the South and South East, will be creating a new distribution centre and head office, including a trade counter, at Fareham Industrial Park. The new distribution centre will be located at units 11/12 and directly opposite, at units 13/19, will be the new head office trade counter and additional warehousing facilities.
Will Fulton, Fund Manager, Standard Life Investments commented: “This letting demonstrates the continued appeal of Fareham Industrial Park for industrial and logistics tenants who are looking for quality units in a prime location, close to the ports and with easy access to the South and South West.”
The move is part of Williams & Co on-going expansion drive as they look to add a further 23 outlets to their portfolio.
Ray Stafford, the managing director of Williams & Co, which has 170 staff, said: “The leasing of extra space in Fareham, creating an enlarged distribution hub, enhanced trade counter and new head office, is a turn-key aspect of our growth plans. We are aiming to run 50 trade-only outlets in the region on the back of strong demand from our core ‘white van’ customers, with 27 premises already successfully established.”
