Swansea-based PR and communications consultancy, MGB PR, has appointed a new account manager as part of its strategic growth plans. The appointment is as a result of a number of recent new business wins for the firm.
Rachel Thomas has joined the established PR company, bringing with her more than six years’ experience in the industry. Her most recent role was as PR and Marketing Co-ordinator at Welsh homeless charity, Llamau. She has a wealth of experience in creating and managing communities across a number of social media channels and has a track record of planning and delivering high profile media campaigns.
Rachel, who hails from Gorseinon, has held roles within two PR and Marketing agencies in Cheltenham following her graduation from the University of Gloucestershire. She also completed a three-month internship as a Press Liaison for fashion brands, Nina Ricci and Narciso Rodriguez in New York.
Commenting on her appointment Rachel said: “I’m joining MGB at an exciting time for the business as we welcome a range of new clients. It’s great to be back within an agency environment where I can utilise all of my communications skills and I’m particularly enjoying working in my hometown of Swansea.”
Natasha Fulford, Managing Director of MGB PR, adds: “Rachel possesses both traditional PR and marketing skills as well as having a passion for new and emerging communications techniques, ensuring that both our new and existing clients will benefit from her depth of experience. Rachel has already hit the ground running and has shown her creativity and results-driven approach across a number of projects. We welcome Rachel to the team and wish her success within our expanding agency.”
Having recently started working with private healthcare facility, Sancta Maria Hospital and rekindling an established relationship with the Ospreys, MGB PR is once again looking to recruit at account manager level. Applications for two account manager roles are currently being considered.
