One of the event industry’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of temporary roadway and flooring has added yet another badge of honour to its growing list of industry acknowledgements.
Leicestershire-based Eco Track & Access Ltd (ETA) was recently announced as runner-up in the prestigious Made in the Midlands Export Award, sponsored by UK Trade & Investmentand was further singled out to receive a ‘Special Commendation’ from the judges in the light of recent broad-reaching export activity.
ETA has exported to 14 countries in the last twelve months including Singapore, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. A small, relatively new company, international sales at ETA accounted for 21% of turnover after exhibitions in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Jordan, as well as France.
Here’s what they judges said:“This novel solution is simple, but has so many applications – temporary roadways, car parks, helicopter landing pads – and its potential for export is huge.”
So far this year, ETA has won the ‘International Trade Award’ in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Business Awards, just twelve months after achieving ‘Newcomer of the Year’ having been founded in 2011; this award was also sponsored by UK Trade & Investment. ETA was also a finalist and ‘highly commended’ in the ‘Best Flooring and Roadway Supplier’ category at the 2013 Event Production Awards and managed to achieve the same status at the 2014 Event Production Awards earlier this year.
“To be runner-up in an award of this magnitude, and then be singled for out for a Special Commendation is a tremendous achievement and the team is elated. We’re confident it will act as a catalyst for the continued development of the business,” said ETA’s chief executive, Jonathan Vaughan. “The other contenders were very large organisations, with multi-million pound turnovers, so to be even considered in the same company, let alone achieve runner up with special commendation is a great accolade.”
