Acting on upon the instructions of Ilfracombe Foodservice, Alder King Property Consultants is pleased to report the sale of the former Ilfracombe Wholesale Grocers Limited premises, Kingsley Avenue, Ilfracombe, EX34 8ET.
The property comprises a large detached industrial unit of approximately 30,000 sq ft (2,787 sq m), which includes warehousing and office space, with the total site area extending to 0.791 hectares (1.954 acres).
The premises were sold to TDK-Lambda UK Ltd following an extensive national marketing campaign.
Lee Southan, negotiator in Alder King’s Exeter office said: “Ilfracombe Foodservice has recently re-located to new premises at Mullacott Cross Industrial Estate. TDK-Lambda occupies an adjoining site and will look to expand their existing business. The site had received good interest from developers and investors alike with offers received, however TDK-Lambda were the obvious choice to purchase the site. The interest received in marketing this property shows that there is strong demand out there and we encourage those who are looking to sell to contact us.”
Ilfracombe Foodservice managing director and owner Mike Watson said that: “I am delighted that we were able to come to an agreement. We have received surprisingly high interest in the site but TDK-Lambda represented the best solution. It not only works as a good deal for both companies, it also bodes well for the future of the local economy as employment opportunities are bound to follow as both companies grow and prosper in the future.”
The premises were sold off an asking price of £230,000.
