Staffline Group plc has continued its growth strategy with its latest acquisition of Softmist Limited.
Corporate lawyers at Browne Jacobson advised Nottinghamshire based Staffline on the acquisition of the Leicestershire based training procurement agency, which trades as ‘Skillspoint’.
Staffline Group plc is an AIM listed recruitment organisation specialising in permanent and temporary recruitment and training services to the food processing, manufacturing, e-retail and logistics. Established in 1986, the company has achieved outstanding growth over the last 15 years both organically and through a series of strategic acquisitions.
Skillspoint, which became the trading name for Softmist Ltd in 2007, works with employers and training providers to design, deliver and manage learning programmes in the workplace. It also facilitates contracts for specialist providers and further education colleges and carries out quality assurance for these contracts.
Browne Jacobson corporate lawyer Vicky Gaskell advised Staffline. The acquisition of Softmist Limited is the latest of a number of deals the law firm has advised Staffline on including Magna Staff, Arnashade Recruitment, A La Carte and Ethos Recruitment.
Vicky Gaskell said:
“Staffline has achieved outstanding growth in the last fifteen years thanks partly due to its focused and hugely successful acquisitions strategy. Skillspoint will be a strong fit with Staffline’s existing portfolio.”
