Tenants in a landmark Bristol city centre office building are being brought together by a new community website which has been created for them.
The landlords of Tower Wharf, the 71,400 sq ft six-floor office which overlooks the Floating Harbour at Cheese Lane, have created a website to create a forum for the different companies who occupy the building.
As well as providing key information about Tower Wharf itself – including a tenants’ handbook, service charge information and insurance documents – the website provides the latest traffic information and journey planning tools, plus special discounts for tenants from local retailers, bars, restaurants and other suppliers. Plans include the ability for tenants to plan carsharing journeys, exchange information and buy and sell items – all online on the website.
Darren Clarke of Lambert Smith Hampton, which manages the property on behalf of landlord Rockspring, said: “The various companies occupying large office buildings rarely have the opportunity to get to know each other so we have created this website to bring our tenants closer together.”
The letting agents for the Tower Wharf building are Hartnell Taylor Cook and DTZ. Philip Moore of DTZ said: “The new website is part of a package of measures which has included discount vouchers at tenant breakfasts for those using green methods to get to work, and the installation of more cycle racks and drying facilities.”
“The measures are attracting a lot of interest from companies in the market for new office space but who do not want to occupy soulless, anonymous premises.”
Existing tenants of the building include Britannia Building Society, Oracle Corporation and solicitors Ashfords. A total of 26,235 sq ft is currently vacant, on three floors.
